I'm starting off my reviews with a digital camera that I absolutely LOVE. I love it so very much, that I have now bought two.  It is a great camera for those who want professional looking pictures without having to understand aperture, timing, ISO, etc.  It is a point and click camera. It also has a special setting dial which includes: automatic/manual, video, landscape, nighttime, sports/movement, portrait, ISO and program. These dials are easy to use and experiment. You might even say, you learn from this camera what some of the more complicated settings do, just by trying them. It also has a build in flash.

It comes with a starter battery, a recharger for the battery. (I bought two to start out so I can have one in the camera and one in the charger.) No missing shots because of a battery!! It also has a space for a  memory card. This feature is great if you shoot a lot  and select from your album, the pictures you must have. You can add multiple lenses and a neck strap. So far I have only longed for a zoom lens when I visited the Grand Canyon. Other lens are available for purchase. Otherwise, the 10x optical zoom is amazing! The optical zoom is activated by simple pressing the sliding button the picture taking button. I find my photo processing program allows me to zoom and crop closer to my subject, in addition to the  10x zoom. It is relatively light and can be carried in a purse. There are corresponding carry cases, but I  usually wear mine around my neck or carry it in purse. 

I have literally taken thousands of pictures with this camera. Taking pictures for me ranges from obsessive to so damn enjoyable I just can't quit, especially since this camera makes my photography look so professional. I don't keep them all! but I use my photography program to polish them up, and I share those I am most proud of.   Prices of batteries and memory cards are reasonable. (approximately $20).

The second camera I bought on the spur of the moment when my son was leaving the country for Indonesia and Bali. He did not know this camera at all when he got on the plane without having looked at it. He picked it up in no time at all, and sent lovely pictures of his journey.

THE COST    When I purchased mine, new, approximately eight years ago, the price was near $140.00 USD.  The camera for my son, I bought about six months ago, and it costed $79.99 plus a shipping. It was listed as the model I had, but it, of course, had some improvements. One, that made me jealous, is the ability to take a few pictures or videos without a memory card. Nice.

I am a frustrated reviewer who never failed to give an honest review on #Amazon or on products purchased elsewhere.  I love Amazon, and I love reviewing products, services and sites.  It dawned on me, that I still can do so on my own blogsite even though I was one of the Amazon reviewers who had their review comments wiped without being given a reason.
